Here are two more great ways to get students and teachers to understand the power of AI & also the limitations. The first website is AI Movie Posters, where AI is given a brief text description of the movie and generates a poster based on the movie. The website asks you to guess the movie.

Let’s just say that the answers to these two are not what I would have guessed they were.

And the other website is called Which Face is Real which was developed by Jevin West and Carl Bergstrom at the University of Washington as part of the Calling Bullshit project. All images are either computer-generated from thispersondoesnotexist.com using the StyleGAN software, or real photographs from the FFHQ dataset of Creative Commons and public domain images.

So which do you think is real? It’s harder than it looks.
