As part of the ISTE U AI Course I am taking, I needed to complete a final project that I could use and share with others. I have been getting a lot of questions lately about AI Acceptable Use Policies, which teachers/school districts can implement in their classrooms and/or district. I decided to create the below infographic with 5 Elements that should be in your AUP. I also curated some great resources to use when creating an AUP, and also a copy of the one I wrote for the South Orange/Maplewood School District.
I hope these help you when creating yours. At this point, I believe every school/classroom needs some sort of policy in place to make sure students & parents understand the who, what, where, when & how of using AI in your classroom or school.

Please note that, just as with any AUP, involving a diverse group in the crafting of the policy, such as teachers, administrators, parents, and perhaps even older students, can help ensure a comprehensive and practical AI AUP for schools.
